"I do hope all is well with each of you. Rumor has it correct.

As you know we have been discussing where to hold our Meetings for the Garden Club. We wanted to keep it local and with all the changes and upcoming renovations at the Mission Inn, we would have been forced to change the Monday meetings to some Tuesdays and maybe move from one place to another depending on the size of our group. So, to keep it simple and as close to home as possible.....I would like to share our new Howey In The Hills Garden and Civic Club meeting place. It will be at the Mission Inns Marina del Rey at the Pavilion. I do hope everyone is as excited as I am. We do have a few little challenges to overcome. But all our meetings will be held the first Monday of the months and the Buffet will still be supplied by the Mission Inn with out an increase in price, along with a Van that will pick you up from Mission Inn and return you there after the meeting is over If you choose not to drive. I do believe that this is going to be a wonderful year full of fun and some exciting changes. As we continue to do what we do best, putting our heads together, working together and finding fun ways to fundraise and give back to those in need. Please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas as I do appreciate everyone of you so very much and look forward to hearing your ideas going forward. I can't do this without each and everyone of you!!

What a Great start to our 2024/2025 Howey in the Hills Garden Club Meetings!

The new Venue at the Marina del Rey Pavilion seems to be working out wonderfully. Our New Website is looking great. Lots of compliments on that.

October, with our make shift dressing room for all our beautiful models that were looking fabulous in Maxines latest fashions. We did volunteer and dressed accordingly for the Chills in the Hills at the Howey Mansion. We gave candy out at the library! Won first prize with our mausoleum :) Fun Gals trip to Sholom Park! November with most of us on our feet smiling and laughing as we were dancing to the Zumba moves. Robyn was fantastic, not to mention her very inspirational story. I will never forget that. A few smart tips from Valerie of Contours Garden Center. Sue & Chuck Leonard hosting our Gold and Silver fundraiser! A wonderful time to get together meet new members have lots of fun all while raising funds for our Charities. Some of us even made a few dollars on our old broken Jewelry. :)

December was fun, Tall Tales but True with Mary Flynn, Chair Yoga with Shawn Robin... many want her back again. The GALS trip to the Sydonie Mansion was fantastic and well attended. Golf carts were decorated for the Parade, lots of cookies were baked and sold. So many participated in one way or another. The Cook Book team worked right though the Holidays!! Luncheons have been well attended and we have had lots of new members as well. Thank you for inviting your friends and neighbors to the meetings. What we do here is fun and the social side is amazing but the Fundraising and giving back to those in need is HUGE!! You all are a part of that. Each of you are a valued member. We could not do this without you. We could not meet all our goals to give back to our local charities. So many of our new as well as seasoned members have already signed up to Chair or Co Chair or be a committee member on one of our event fundraisers. We very much need a few more to sign on to a committee. This is what makes it all come together. Please, I need your hidden talents :) Please don’t wait to be asked come to me with your ideas and let me know where you would like to step in. I do look forward to working with and getting to know each of you better in the New Year! I especially look forward to our Seasonal Floridians coming home. WE MISSED YOU!
